‘Miss’ Finger Tingler / Bullet Vibrator

Soft Paris is a boutique style sex toys shopping website, which also offers people the chance to become a representative and host home sex toy parties and make some money. The website has a very feminine feel and has a strong French influence which appeals to me personally.

I was recently sent a few items by Soft Paris, free of charge in exchange for fair and honest reviews. Everything was sent fast and discreetly, with a professional flair. The items I received are:

The ‘Belle de Nuit’ Fuchsia Silicone Rechargeable Vibrator (priced at £50) review here

The ‘Miss’ Fuchsia Silicone Bullet Vibrator (priced at £26)

The ‘Indécente’ Créme Brulée Intimate Arousal Cream (priced at £28) review here

All the Soft Paris items I received are presented in a soft touch matte card box which has been thoughtfully designed to complement the French influence of the business. The boxes wouldn’t look out of place in any elegant women’s boutique, and are a million miles away from the neon backed, topless and hairy pussy model boxes which comprised the sex toy packaging in many of the high street private shops of the 80s and 90s.

The ‘Miss’ silicone bullet vibrator was something of a surprise when I opened the rather glam (for a bullet vibe) box. The box is cerise pink, with the elegant Soft Paris logo on the front and a description of the item in both French and English. Very Parisienne, dahlink.

I opened the box and tipped out a polythene bag containing the bullet vibe / finger tingler, as well as an extensive multi lingual instruction leaflet.

The ‘Miss’ silicone bullet vibrator has me in hysterics whenever I look at it. If this is your idea of sexy all power to you, but for me it just reminds me far too much of Fingermouse in the 80s. I expect it to start teaching me the alphabet or about colours and numbers.

This sex toy is really better described as a ‘finger tingler’. It comprises of a silicone outer sleeve, which is backed with a loop so you can wear it on your finger. The bullet which fits into the sleeve is plastic cased, with the motor inside, a screw off end where the batteries are inserted and the power button on the end of this cap.

The silicone sleeve is some kind of fluttering bug, almost a butterfly without the large wings and with front facing, pointed ‘arms’ instead. There are eyes. They have eyelashes drawn on. There are also antennae. On ‘her’ belly there are several soft silicone nodules (Soft Paris advises that this sleeve is silicone) which I assume are for additional clitoral stimulation.

The ‘Miss’ silicone bullet vibrator is powered by (wait for it) watch batteries. Ugh. Not my cup of tea, as you can read about in this related rant about watch batteries in sex toys here. Well, fine. That’s the way it is, I was just going to have to get over it. The batteries are TINY. The type is named on the box as 2x LR754 which come included and inside the toy ready, which is great. If you happen to end up loving this mini vibrator though you’d better get some more of these batteries ready in your stock pile, as I doubt the local newsagent has them hanging by the AA and AAAs.

This is a one speed bullet vibrator, with a simple off and on click-the-end-button operation. It is NOT waterproof, sadly. The speed of the vibration isn’t the fastest or most powerful in a bullet vibe I’ve ever known, but it’s not so bad. The trouble is, the sleeve over the bullet vibrator makes them transmit less effectively, for me. I prefer using the bullet vibe without the silicone sleeve around it, which gives me a case of the unsexy giggles anyway and banishes any thought of orgasm right out of my head. I’m back in 1987 watching Words and Pictures and the Pigeon Street.

As a bullet vibe in its own right, without the sleeve, this is a dinky little thing which is small enough to slip between you during sex, or to keep handy for solo orgasms any time. It’s only 1.5 inches in length, so you could easily hide it in a clenched fist as you stride through the office on your way to the loos. Ahem.

Although I’m not dead set against this vibrator (as just a bullet vibe, without the sleeve) it’s the price which ultimately lets it down. £26 for any bullet vibe is pretty criminal in my opinion – when you can get any number of other bullet vibrators, including waterproof and rechargeable options, for a lot less. From about £10, in fact.

I’ll use my ‘Miss’ silicone bullet vibrator again, during masturbation or during sex with my partner but pretty much only because I own one now so I may as well. I certainly wouldn’t spend anything over about £12 on this – and the silicone ‘bug’ sleeve can be ditched, for me personally. It doesn’t add anything (for me) but hysterics and memories of watching Monsters Inc.

If this vibrator does sound like your kinda sex toy, you can buy your ‘Miss’ silicone bullet vibrator here at Soft Paris for £26.
