I was recently fortunate enough to be sent not just one but four Sliquid products to test and review, from the lovely folk over at Belle de Soir. Sliquid lubricants & sexual products are not only vegan friendly but also paraben and glycerine free. If other sex lubricants have given you any type of irritation or you’re simply unsure about the ingredients in the formulation, try Sliquid – they’re the trusted lubricant brand by reviewers and lube experts (well, people who know a lot about lube) around the world.

- Sliquid Naturals Silver Silicone Lubricant 125ml (my review)
- Sliquid Organics O Gel Arousal Gel 5ml
This review is for the Sliquid Organics O Gel Arousal Gel 5ml.
Packaging & First Impressions
This is a pillow pack of stimulating arousal gel, containing 5ml. To open, I just had to fold down then rip the top tab off and squeeze to dispense a drop of gel. The pouch is immediately identifiable as Sliquid, bearing the recognisable logo and with a clearly marked description of the contents. It’s also a bright and friendly pink contrasting a white band. They’ve fit a lot on each small pouch, with the logo, instructions how to dispense, the ingredients, a barcode and company details. All clearly legible and without feeling squished up on the pack.
Although this is an ‘arousal gel’ the back of the small pack describes it as a lubricant -and I must admit it’s slippery enough to do the job. it’s water based, so no worries about using it with silicone sex toys or other incompatible with silicone lube items.
Here’s what Sliquid have to say:
The O gel is a 100% vegan friendly clitoral stimulating gel. It is created with naturally stimulating ingredients including peppermint, oil, sweet almond oil, and menthol. L-Arginine is commonly used in other clit-stim products, though it is known to increase the likelihood of outbreaks for those affected by herpes. Peppermint Oil and Menthol are natural vasodilators, which when applied topically will bring blood to the surface, increasing arousal and stimulation. Almond Oil creates a delicate and super smooth texture, allowing O Gel to glide on effortlessly. Sliquid Organics O Gel is then blended with certified organic botanicals to heal and soothe your most delicate tissues, while taking your arousal level to new heights
- Naturally derived clit-stim gel
- 100% Vegan friendly
- Infused with Certified Organic botanicals
- L-Arginine free formulation
- Long lasting and easy to clean up
- Glycerin free and paraben free
- Hypoallergenic and non-toxic
The ingredients are:
Purified water, Plant cellulose (from cotton), Aloe barbadensis, natural tocopherols (vitamin E), cyamopsis (guar gum), peppermint oil, sweet almond oil, menthol, extracts of hibiscus, alfafa, green tea & sunflower seed, potassium sorbate, citric acid.
No glycerine, parabens or other known lubricant ‘nasties’ which can affect some women’s vaginal pH and even lead to yeast infections or UTIs. It’s quite clear to see where the arousal and stimulation elements hope to come from, with peppermint oil and menthol amongst the ingredients.
This is the only Sliquid product I received in my bundle of four that I had any disappointment in. There’s a slight warming effect but I wouldn’t say it’s dramatically tingling or spectacularly arousing for me personally. Your mileage may vary, of course. The ingredients cross over similarly to the Sliquid Organics Sensations Botanically Infused Stimulating Lubricant, with the addition of peppermint oil and leaving a few of the botanical extracts out. I am guessing that the arousing effect of this gel will come down to how sensitive your particular body is to such ingredients. Being a lubricant and sex product veteran it may be that I am not as sensitive to these things as I was once upon a time.
When all is said and done this is a pleasant, safe and slippery gel with a slight warming effect (for me) but I wouldn’t purchase it separately in order to achieve any particularly dramatic or intense sexual arousal.
A 5ml pillow pack of Sliquid Stimulating O Gel costs £2.45 which is fairly expensive for such a small amount. Just a tiny drop is enough to coat my clitoris though, and another drop coats my labia if I want. The ripped off tab top closes up without letting the rest spill out, so it could potentially be saved by the bedside if you’re planning to use it within a few days – although these are my personal thoughts, note, not an official guideline from Sliquid. I would guess that leaving the active ingredients exposed to the air may have a negative effect on any arousal felt from the gel.
Not a winner for me, but still a classy, body safe and top quality formulated product from the renowned Sliquid brand.
