Rocks Off ‘Roxy Rabbit’ Waterproof Rabbit Vibrator Review

Rocks Off Roxy Rabbit vibrator

The Roxy Rabbit is the newest member of the Rocks Off sex toys family. I was sent the purple Roxy rabbit, free of charge, in exchange for a fair and honest review directly from Rocks Off.

The package was sent to me quickly and was very discreet – as professional as you would expect from a large company with plenty of experience in this industry, like Rocks Off. No note of what lay within – and safely packed for transit too.

Once the package was open, I found a box with a white sleeve stating that I did indeed hold a Roxy Rabbit. This white card outer has been seen on other Rocks Off products I’ve had in the past and keeps things discreet, perhaps when the items are sold in stores that don’t like the ‘rabbit vibrator’ or other vibrator to be too ‘in your face’ for customers browsing the shop. It also keeps the inner box in a better shape and with less chance of it becoming crushed by handling or transit.

Slipping this white card sleeve off I held a black with pink/purple branding box, clearly marked as holding a Roxy Rabbit inside, and in fact I could see the product through the shaped, clamshell plastic made for it inside the box. To retrieve it, I just had to undo the top of the box and slide out the plastic cover containing the Roxy Rabbit. This had been melded shut by a heat treated dot at the top, and therefore the rabbit had stayed safe and secure during storage and until it reached by hands. No chance of it rattling around. Pulling the two halves of plastic apart, I withdrew my new toy.

Also in the box I got a small Rocks Off catalogue, which has the product registration number on the back, as well as a black satin, branded storage pouch with a drawstring top. These are fast becoming an essential accessory with silicone toys, as they can’t be stored near other silicone toys or soft/real feel materials.

Turning over the Roxy Rabbit in my hands, the silicone definitely felt soft and smooth and it just feels more luxurious than cheaper options, if you see what I mean. The seam is smooth and minimal and doesn’t cause me any issues. To power up, you need to first unscrew the base and reveal the battery compartment. Remove the paper disc in there and secure the base/handle once again.

Yeah, the Roxy Rabbit is battery operated. On the plus side, you do get the 4 x AAA batteries included with the toy, and the Roxy is fully waterproof too. So I could enjoy it in the bath or shower – and submerge it during cleaning too. Hurrah!

There’s three motors in the Roxy. One in the tip, one at the bottom of the insertable shaft, and one in the clitoral stimulator area (the rabbit ears bit). You use the two buttons on the handle to power up and go through the settings. The box claims that the Roxy Rabbit has an amazing 50 settings. In fact it’s a 7×7 rabbit (7 speeds and 7 patterns) so 49 motorised settings and 50 if you count ‘off’.

Let’s talk about the handle. Look, you either like hearts or you don’t. I am not much of a hearts and flowers gal (unless you count cruelly stealing hearts and receiving admirers bouquets of blood red roses in the post. Let me have my dreams) but the handle on the Roxy Rabbit doesn’t upset me all that much. If you had an issue with hearts then my guess is you wouldn’t choose this toy. It’s not like the heart handle is meant to do anything other than offer an attractive handle a little different to the norm, and let’s face it – at least Rocks Off had the imagination to do something a little different than the boring ‘let’s do a cheap rip off of the LELO Insignia handle’ thing that seems to be ‘on trend’.

The handle, with the space through the heart shape, makes Roxy easy to hold, and the buttons are located on top of it so they’re easy to get at and use even during use. One is marked G, I assume for G-spot shaft and the other is marked C, again I assume standing for clitoral stimulator.

Functions

The functions are as follows, according to how they feel for me!

G-spot stimulating shaft

  1. Both motors: low constant vibration
  2. Both motors: medium constant vibration
  3. Both motors: high constant vibration
  4. Alternation of motors in shaft (pulse)
  5. Bottom motor constant vibe, tip motor pulse
  6. Both motors: dot-dot-dot-dot-dash pulse
  7. Both motors: dot-dot-dash pulse

Clitoral stimulator (bunny ears)

  1. Low constant vibration
  2. Medium constant vibration
  3. High constant vibration
  4. Pulsation
  5. Faster pulse
  6. Dot-dot-dash pulse
  7. Another type of dot-dot-dash pulse

Press and hold either button to turn off; when turned on again the settings start from #1.

Roxy Rabbit has an overall length of 8.25 inches, with an insertable length of 4 inches and a maximum circumference of 4.5 inches. The tip is angled for G-spot stimulation and the clit stim is a split ear style, which to be honest isn’t my favourite but there we go. It works for some women. I generally prefer a smooth, rounded clit stim to my rabbits, if I use a rabbit vibrator at all.

When it came down to it, for the three motors, 50 settings, ease of use, waterproofness, storage pouch and included batteries, the Roxy Rabbit wasn’t powerful enough for my tastes. Now, I know that I have quite a thirst for power when it comes to sex toys and I am on the jackhammer/mains powered wand vibrator rather than a newbie to vibrating sex toys. However I do like my firm clit stims such as bullet vibes and there are rabbit vibraators out there that can get me off. Sadly this isn’t one of them and I had to admit defeat after the nth try with the Roxy Rabbit. The tips of the ears are in the wrong place for me and I would prefer to cut them off and just use the rabbit nose/face directly on my clit.

That said, if gentle to moderate sex toy vibration is your thing, or you like the traditional split-ear style clit stims on rabbit vibrators, then you may just love Roxy Rabbit. It’s available in pink or purple and costs £49.99 from Rocks Off.
