Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring Review
I received this Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring free of charge, in exchange for a fair and honest review, as part of UberKinky’s sex toys review scheme. They recently contacted me as one of their regular reviewers with a list of products available for review this month.
I must admit that I was completely torn between this Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring and the Str8cam (Spunk) hybrid lubricant – but UberKinky responded to my plight and kindly sent both to me. I’m completely spoilt.
The Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring comes in a transparent little packet with the Oxballs label on the front. The packaging is adequate, not wasteful and is easily disposed of. It would be nice to have a little fabric pouch to keep the ring in, as it’s a soft material, but it’s not a major issue. The Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring costs £9.99.
From a purely aesthetic point of view the Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring I have is the Ice colour. It’s a translucent blue which is bright, fresh and  funky. The other colours available are Black, Green, Orange, Police (!) which as far as I can tell is bright red, Smoke, White, Yellow and Zinc. If there isn’t a colour there to suit you, then in my opinion you’re way too picky.
Made from TPR this Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring is super stretchy but this is a porous material so be aware that it’s difficult to keep 100% hygienically clean between uses. It’s also prone to tears (rips, not crying) over time, particularly if you need to stretch it quite a way -ahem-. However it’s not what I would call a fragile product, I can’t pick it up and tear it apart with my hands, for example. We’ve used it several times now and find it easy to use, comfortable, easy to rinse/wash and doesn’t show signs of breaking just quite yet. I would estimate that if we used this twice a week it may last until Christmas, so I’d give it a max shelf life with regular use of about 12 months. That’s my personal feeling, not an official statement! Your mileage may vary.
With a chunky look and feel to the Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring, it’s comfortable to hold and reassuringly durable when you put it on. There’s two quite dramatic balls on the ring – same material and part of the ring’s design – which add to the grip and stimulation felt by him during wear and use.
The Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring can be worn whichever way feels best to you. You could even wear it as a bracelet, but this probably wouldn’t add anything to sex. On second thoughts… no. Too perverted.
You can put it around his cock and balls, so it’s flush against his body touching where his penis meets his body and underneath on the perineum, or it can be worn on the base of his shaft only. We found it much better when around both. It has a nice tight grip; I’d rate it as very firm.
Like all (good) cock rings and love rings the Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring keeps the blood from his erection (yes, you put it on when he’s hard) in his shaft, therefore keeping it feeling strong and hard for even longer than usual. The powerful erection will be more sensitive than usual, however the ring around his cock and balls will prolong the time of lovemaking before ejaculation (or, masturbation if he decides to use the ring by himself). Cock rings really are a great addition to sex/masturbation. For both partners.
As the vagina-owning sexual partner to him wearing the Oxballs Powerballs Cock Ring during sex, I didn’t get extra pleasure directly from the ring itself, but rather by proxy with his surging and tightly gripped penis and balls. I found it very fun, sensual and erotic to draw fingernails over the taut skin of his testicles and shaft so it’s actually great during foreplay too, as well as just during the intercourse itself. I do prefer him wearing this ring during penis in vagina sex, it would get in the way a bit for anal sex. As it’s so easy to stretch and put around his cock and balls I know he won’t hesitate to pick this up from his bedside table and use it as an addition to solo pleasure too.
All in all, this is a tenner well spent in my opinion, even if the Oxballs PowerBalls Cock Ring won’t last you a lifetime. Just make sure you clean it as thoroughly as you can between uses and if possible get a little storage bag to put it in.
