LELO LIV 2 Vibrator Review

I never owned the original LELO LIV vibrator but like so many others I’ve spent ages looking through the LELO sex toys collection online and wishing I owned various styles. The LELO LIV always seemed a solid member of the LELO family, a classic style vibrator with the famed LELO elegance and style. I’m really happy to be able to review the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator here at CaraSutra, which was sent to me free of charge in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Let’s take a closer look at this beautiful vibrator.

Packaging

The LELO LIV 2 comes in the usual LELO glossy outer box clearly marked with what’s inside, in the typical classy LELO way. Inside this box you find the black lidded box, again like the rest of the range. open the lidded box to discover the Liv 2 vibrator and the rest of the contents.

What’s in the box?

I have the Navy Blue LELO LIV 2 Vibrator and I think it’s my first dark blue vibe! It looks very classy, almost royal. The Liv 2 vibrator is also available in Cerise, Lime Green, Blue and Plum colours from LELO, and of these Simply Pleasure currently stock Cerise, Blue and Plum.

Measurements

This vibrator has an overall length of 6.5 inches, with 3.9 insertable inches and a maximum circumference of 3.6 inches.

As well as displaying the class, style and elegance we’ve come to know and love from the LELO guys and gals, the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator offers even more brilliance for your buck. This petite sized classic style vibrator is fully waterproof and has 100% more power than the original LIV vibrator.

In addition there’s a storage pouch included so you can store your silicone sex toy safely, and it is of course a rechargeable sex toy so no need to dip into your battery stash or fear running out at an inopportune moment.

Powering up

I couldn’t see how long you need to charge up the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator for, on the accompanying material or on the website, but I tend to charge up my rechargeable sex toys overnight just to be on the safe side. You can get 2 hours playtime from a full charge.

It’s easy to charge up the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator, just plug the jackpin into the port for it on the end of the vibe and the other end into any mains socket. There is a white LED which flashes behind the controls on the handle while it’s charging, changing to a steady glow when it’s fully charged.

Functions and settings

The LELO LIV 2 Vibrator offers more settings than the LELO MONA 2, with 8 to choose from and enjoy. This is another “4 button” control LELO vibrator, so there’s + and – buttons to turn on, raise and lower the vibration speed and turn off, as well as arrow buttons to change the vibrating function.

You can press and hold + and – together for a few seconds to lock the vibrator, which is also how you retain the standby time. See my LELO Mona 2 review for more info on this.

How the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator felt

During use the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator almost feels like the LELO ELISE 2’s baby sister. I do love the LELO Elise 2 vibrator and I’m not a newbie to vibrators so I like the sizeable qualities of the ELISE 2. The LELO LIV 2 Vibrator feels like it would be perfect for the petite lady and/or someone new to vibrators and insertables.

The smaller size does make this vibrator both easier to wield between the bodies during couples sex, if you wanted to use the tip for clitoral stimulation or external massage elsewhere. But that’s not how I choose to use the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator. The smaller than ELISE 2 size means that i can indulge in double penetration with my partner with more ease and less pain- which is always good. I do use the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator vaginally rather than anally for this – while he tends to my anal entrance – as it’s not really an anal sex toy so I keep it where it’s intended for use.

The silicone surface of the LELO LIV 2 Vibrator performs beautifully with water based lubricant (click to read my LELO Personal Moisturiser review) and it also warms to body temperature fast.

Unfortunately it’s not the most powerful of the LELO sex toys collection, even with the ‘mark 2’ appeal. It’s certainly not the most powerful vibrator in my collection, so unfortunately I won’t be grabbing this one for personal use all that often. If you do find wand vibrators and intense clitoral vibrators too dramatic for you, then you will probably find the Liv 2 suits you more.

Summary

This is a thoughtfully designed vibrator which has more appeal to a petite lady or beginner to sex toys rather than a sex toys veteran and power/size Queen like me.

Although I enjoyed using this vibrator, it’s not one of my Top Ten Favourite Sex Toys, but I will definitely be hanging on to it for those moments when I fancy a gentler ride to arousal or a smaller insertable to use along with other toys or my partner.

The waterproof capability certainly presents more potential for pleasure in the bath or shower, as well as making this vibrator supremely easy to keep hygienically clean.

Buy if you’re after a smaller size vibe which is more in keeping with ‘real penis’ size without the ‘real penis’ look, if earth shattering vibrations are too much for you, if you’re particularly small in the vaginal area or if you’re simply a fan of LELO and must collect the set.
